    This January 2003 image from NASA's Earth Sciences and Image Analysis Laboratory, made public on March 23, shows auroras over Canada and the Manicouagan impact crater in the foreground. The Manicouagan Crater in northern Canada is one of the oldest impact craters known, formed about 200 million years ago.
